Sheng Ji Tomb and Relocation Service Completed within Two Months

I am truly grateful and blessed to be given the opportunity to meet with this client, Samantha, who came along one day with her mother and sister to Nirvana Shah Alam to check out the products we have to offer.

Samantha's mum was looking out for a burial plot that is located near Kuala Lumpur so that it's convenient for her children to visit in time to come.

On her arrival at the site office, she was fascinated by the serene landscape and the calm and clean environment.  Without much hesitation, she decided that the burial plot I have presented to her was to her satisfaction and upon conclusion of the purchase of plot, we proceeded to discuss about completing the Sheng Ji (meaning construction of the tombstone). 

Coincidentally, the 2014 lunar calendar of the Horse Year carries a leap month for September, which signifies eternal perpetuity as embodied in the numeric characters of 1499.  The next cycle for such a leap month will be in another 182 years from now.  This means the previous September leap month was dated way back to year 1832 and the next similar month will fall in the year 2109.  The ancient Chinese practice usually involves prospecting a burial site or 'Zhong Sheng Ji' during the leap year.  

Samantha's mum was eager to have her pre-planned Sheng Ji completed during the leap month in order to receive multiple blessings and prosperity.

They even went on to discuss about relocating their grandparents from Slim River and Ipoh respectively since it was their mum's wish for some time to reunite her parents.  To them, it was a daunting task as they haven't a clue how to go about doing it.

From my proposal tabulated on paper, they saw the sequence of events from the beginning to the completion of the works, timing for each process was planned out in detail. They were convinced that it can be done.

With the cooperation of a highly EFFICIENT TEAM of Nirvana staff, all the works including construction of a double burial plot tombstone to the relocation of both of Samantha's grandparents to Ming Palace 3 were completed within the leap month of September. Some of the pertinent issues which were addressed during this process were coordination and selection of auspicious days to avoid Chinese Zodiacs clashes with all parties involved, detailed checking with third parties for delivery of prayer materials and offerings and working hand in hand with relocation masters. All of these eventually saw to a Magical Achievement with all events planned and completed within a span of 2 months!

Sheng-Ji Installation Ceremony by Master Philip Wong 黄十林

A very traditional Sheng-Ji (Pre-Need Tomb) installation ceremony was held at Nirvana Memorial Park, Kulai recently by our renowned Fengshui Master, Master Philip Wong (黄十林).

My client, Mr Lam was most convinced and felt comfortable throughout the entire process which saw him started the preparation for this ceremony some three months ago.

A to-do checklist for the planting of the Sheng Ji was extended to him on his first visit to Nirvana Kulai. Prior to the first face to face meeting up, I have established clear and precise communication between my client and Master Philip Wong (黄十林) to explain the Sheng Ji process and the full services of our Fengshui Master.  

Upon my client's concurrence to the proposal and the subsequent submission of personal details, Master Philip Wong (黄十林) was at hand to receive Mr Lam and his friend to visit the site on the first agreed appointment, that is to identify the plot.  Our Johor Branch Business Development Consultant, Mr Raymond Ong was also present to offer his assistance.

On concluding the purchase of the plot, Master Philip Wong (黄十林) had subsequently charted out the sequence of construction of the Sheng Ji tomb including the date of commencement of work, the date of erection of Head Stone and also the date of thank you prayer to the land of God (Hou Tou) upon completion of all works.

Throughout the entire Fengshui consultation process, Master Philip Wong (黄十林) has listened attentively to all my client's needs and wishes, and has incorporated the same into his Fengshui calculation and the overall design of the tomb and its headstone.  All the Fengshui practices will eventually harmonize with the natural settings and bring about immense and wholesome goodwill.

As mentioned, a list of items required from Mr Lam was also presented, which included personal effect items i.e. hair, nails, clothing & etc... so that the client is fully aware of the process and its preparation to eventually see to fruition and enjoy the full benefits of Sheng Ji. 

2014年 雙春兼閏月 - 造生基風水

'Zhong Sheng Ji' in the September leap month of the Horse Year ~ this is once in a lifetime opportunity, according to Nirvana's Chief Fengshui Consultant, Master Philip Huang Shi Lin

The origins of life revolve around a universal pattern covering the root, seedling, flower and fruit.  We need the seedling to get the fruit.  In Fengshui, 'Zhong Sheng Ji' refers to the cultivation of the roots of life. 'Sheng Ji' is also known as 'prosperity and longevity grave', 'prosperity and longevity tomb' or 'living tomb'.  In Fengshui it is officially known as 'Sheng Ji'.

In the study of the 'Yin Zhai' (for the dead) and 'Yang Zhai' (for the living) Fengshui 'Sheng Ji' (Yin Zhai Fengshui) adopts a very special delicate handling.  It harmonies the Fengshui of 'Yin Zahi' and 'Yang Zhai' together to bestow the 'Sheng Ji' owner with prosperity and longevity, in an effort to 'boost' and 'turn' luck, from Fengshui's perspective. 'Sheng Ji' is deemed the most responsive tool for luck prospecting.

Planting a 'Sheng Ji' is no magic or cult.  It is purely a practice of Fengshui.  'Zhong Sheng Ji' aims to ride on the 'dragon veins' to attract prosperity Fengshui wise.  Therefore, picking a right burial spot is the first and foremost thing to do.

富貴集團風水顧問黃十林(Fengshui Master Philip Wong) 說，做生基是在人未去世前設計墓地風水，生基中的風水陰中有陽，陽中有陰才能使風水平衡，正如人類荷爾蒙須平衡，立碑時用羅盤找出一個最好的方向，使陰陽平衡。

風水中特別之處為生基，所謂生基就是活人在往生前先做風水，內中放頭發、指甲 等，所以生基在選擇或立碑時須找一個漂亮和有磁場的方向，可使風水吸收外邊的磁場。

黃大師說，古時候，只有皇帝和高官貴族才可做生基，但目前做生基已很普遍，它可預先決定土葬或火化，可做好身后財務的規劃，不至於臨時手忙腳亂，也避免臨時草率急促下葬，不一定能找到好地方，在習俗上可為父母添福添壽。

講到拾金（即拾骨遷葬），在馬來西亞、新加坡、中國已很普遍。

拾金遷地的原因很多，比如歷史因素、政府徵地，因習成俗，到若干年后須開棺取出遺骨，用米酒洗凈后再放入缸中找好風水葬好稱為二葬，有些遷葬是為方便祭 拜，有些因天災或風水因素而遷葬。

在選擇立碑下葬也要注意陰陽平衡，如碑發黑如印堂發黑，若碑有裂痕更糟糕；在選擇地下葬時有幾 點要忌，如童山、斷山、石山、獨山或破山都不可葬，碰到角煞更不行；好的風水應該是氣候溫暖而不是寒冷，風水后有大樹會破壞風水，太多草根會使老鼠，蛇白 蟻等入穴。若墓地如灰堆牛糞色，爛泥巴等都不能下葬，會造成泡尸或翻棺等，好的墓穴挖出來的骨頭呈黃、紅、白色，不好的為黑色，在拾骨以來要用酒洗凈，消 毒后放入甕中再下葬。

潤年成為雙春大年，最好做三件大事：一為買福地、二為做生基，三為拾金遷葬，這里的“金”是把先人的遺骨當成黃金。

When we mention cemetery, we naturally think of land that buries the deseased and ashes in the columbarium. In fact, do we know that according to recorded ancient Chinese belief, we can also build a living tomb for a living person, a Sheng Ji, to prolong one’s life and bring health and prosperity to the family.

What is Sheng Ji? From the word, Sheng is something alive and can grow, Ji is the foundation of structures or roots.

To build Sheng Ji, is when one builds a living tomb for themselves or their still living parents where the natural and invisible earth energy flows into one’s body to become healthier and live a longer life. To tap energy (Chi) from sky and earth with the aim to achieve longer life, treat sickness, prosperous, career advancement, more children, harmonious relationship between husband and wife and a good and happy family.

Sheng Ji being the foundation of life where it can tap the natural power / energy around us to bring prosperity and health upon ourselves. The practice of Sheng Ji started during the Tang Dynasty when it’s done by choosing a piece of suitable land, putting the living person’s hair, finger and toe nail and other personal belonging such as cloth or shoes into an urn. This belonging will absorb the ‘Chi’ from sky and earth, will then channel this Chi into the living person to make him/her healthier, prosperous and enjoy a longer life. This practice is not only beneficial to one self but also benefits one's younger generations.

生基

一提起墓园，人们印象中是埋葬死人或安奉先人骨灰的墓地，其实，您又可知道，活生生的我们也可在墓园造生基，以延年益寿，增进福禄？

何谓生基？根据字义，生是资长有活力的东西，基是一切建筑物之底部，即地基， 也是根苗之本源。

“生基” 是生命之基本

Pre-need tomb is literally means "the foundation of life" which the people erect their grave tomb or urn compartment in advance while they are still alive.
