Having to endure the pain of losing someone dearly in the family is agonizing. What’s more, when the immediate family members weren’t able to return from abroad to take a last look at the parent is beyond what you and I could imagine. A 14 days quarantine was just not feasible to come home for the funeral.
I can see the excruciating grieve in the eyes of the children over the zoom screen when we took their family photo. The casket was sealed and ready to be wheeled off to the crematorium, but they are not here with their family. This is how people have to say goodbye to their loved ones, in this so-called The New Norm!
I weep with rage silently at a corner after this photo session as I still cannot come to terms how this COVID-19 Pandemic is tearing all people apart!
