Sue (Not her real name) was a very good friend of Ms Teh, my client-turned friend.
Sue came to Ms Teh's brother funeral three years ago and that was the first time we met. She was a charismatic and down to earth person. When we met on a few more occasions after that, Sue signed up a funeral service package and told me that she wish for a fuss-free funeral. No religion and prayers, just a serene place with soft music for family and friends to pay their last respect.
Her wish was fulfilled when I met with her brother at the hospital and that Mr Sam told us to proceed with her instructions as set earlier.
A solace and peaceful ambiance was being set up at her funeral parlor. Many friends who came to pay respect agreed to her way of bidding farewell to this world. They gathered to remember, pray and cherish a life that had touched them deeply.
Sue's ashes was scattered to the sea after the cremation. Her final wish to be set free and back to nature. We pray that her soul will rest in eternal peace.
