Hindu Funeral Rites

Mr Ramesh (Not his real name) called to inquire about our Hindu Funeral arrangements for his sister-in-law who was critically ill in a hospital at Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur.

I immediately worked out an "All-Inclusive Package" including the choice to use our parlor at either Nirvana Sungei Besi Memorial Center or Nirvana Petaling Jaya Memorial Center (PJMC). The package proposed also include the use of Nirvana Shah Alam Memorial Park's crematorium.

Mr Ramesh was agreeable with the proposal quoted and told me to be on standby should the need arises anytime.  Soon after, I received the distress call one evening and Nirvana's crew were mobilised to carry out the funeral arrangements. 

With the help of our Hindu Priest, we were all set and ready with the preparation works on the first evening with Prayer materials, including a Jasmine flower garland, Veshti for the children, joss sticks, kodam and all other materials required for a complete Hindus prayer.  Even banana trees were ordered to be tied to our Hearse on the departure day.

The family had placed a rose garland over the portrait of the deceased and decorated it with more of the bouquets and fresh flowers delivered by the well wishers who came to pay their last respects.

We made the arrangements to scatter the deceased's ashes into the sea near North Port at Port Klang. In order to accommodate a large turn out on the next day after the cremation as anticipated by the family members, we have planned ahead and chattered a bigger boat.  Fresh flower petals were prepared by our Service Consultant and together with the Priest, our specially dedicated transport for sea funeral ferried the family and their entourage to complete the last rite.

The funeral was delivered in a most organised and dignified manner and it certainly left a lasting memory to the children and their family members.  

We were even being invited to attend their 16th day memorial prayers with lunch at the deceased family home. We appreciate our client's way of reciprocate their gratitude and we take it as an honor.
