It was a small group initiative with most of the efforts contributed by Mdm Mak herself except for a few of us who offered to pay for the purchase of prayer offerings, which included food, milk, incense, flour and various types of medicinal herbals which were to be burnt to create smoke for the ritual. It was indeed eye opening as I have not experienced the Tibetan Monk's way of prayer especially doing it in the evening till dark to feast the wandering souls.
It is believed that this ritual will enable the trapped and suffering souls within this samsara to attain rebirth; And for the people who offered this prayer will then be freed from obstacles and thus prosper in their daily lives.
As for us, we prayed for all the merits and good deeds accumulated thru this smoke puja to be passed on to the departed souls.
Thank you Mdm Mak and her lovely daughters and grand child, the Dharma brothers and sisters and members of the public who joined in together to complete this prayer.
